Union's Farfan sidelined 3 games

On Friday Major League Soccer's Disciplinary Committee suspended Philadelphia Union defender Gabriel Farfan an additional two games and fined an undisclosed amount. The decision was made because of Farfan's reckless challenge and his delay in leaving the field after his red card during April 21st 1-0 victory over Chivas USA.

Farfan will be sidelined for the Union's April 28th meeting with San Jose Earthquakes, May 5th at Seattle Sounders F.C. and May 13th against the New York Red Bulls.

Yesterday MLS commissioner Don Garber suspended and fined Union manager Peter Nowak for his actions during the fallout of Farfan's challenge on Chivas USA defender James Riley. Garber also fined Chivas USA manager Robin Fraser an undisclosed amount.
